My Rating System

First off, as I’ve said before and will say again, I’m not the expert, I definitely have a lot to learn still so take what I say with a grain of salt.

But my goal is to be objective and to think critically about what I’ve eaten without being blinded by Michelin Stars, World’s Best lists, or whatever lists. I can promise you that I’ll justify my scores if they seem particularly outlandish and to show you pictures while describing what I’m experiencing as best as I can.

But the overarching system is out of 100, and works as follows:

50 or less: Don’t go here. Usually critical errors with the food prep.

51-69: Probably don’t go here. Ranging from mediocre food/service/price to maybe go in a pinch when you’re hungry

70-79: Average, can stop by if you’re hungry without being disappointed after

80-89: Good-Very Good. Worth trying. The food is definitely good if the score is 80+

90-95: Excellent. Not only is the food good, you can taste the thought that goes into the meal, and it becomes about the overall ‘experience’ and ‘story’ the chef is trying to tell through their cooking.

96-100: God-tier. Go here even if you have to fly out to go.
